Never Underestimate the Power of the Comments
As bloggers we are focused on creating content powerful enough to move readers into thinking or believing something which they may have disagreed with before. We may also want to move them simply to get them motivated enough to add a new idea to our blog´s content through a comment. Not everybody spends time making comments even if the article is great so it is important to pay attention and evaluate the readers who do comment. You should try to determine how, when and why they left a comment(s) in your business blog.
According to research by the Jacob Nielson firm on some variables of cyberspace, approximately 90% of the online community just read and observe without making a contribution. Only 9% of users make minor contributions and a miniscule 1% actively contributes. Even though is important to increase the quality of the content and find techniques to increase traffic you also need to satisfy the 1% which is fully engaged with your business and attract the 9% which is contributing occasionally.
Don’t underestimate the power of comments because they will produce money for your business. Something you can do to increase the number of people making comments in your business blog is design an invitation for them. Sometimes people will feel better if they receive an invitation. Also don’t think everybody knows how to use the comment interface of your blog. If you leave some little instructions, new users and novices to the internet may be more likely to make a contribution in your blog.
Moreover you can ask questions that motivate people to make comments. I have seen many blogs in which a question has led to everybody running and leaving a comment. You will find out whether or not your question was controversial enough by the quantity of responses and comments you receive.
However, is important to interact with users and be kind to them so that they can feel like you are giving personalized treatment. Also, we need be humble because you will probably find users who argue hard things. You need to be wise in such situations. Even when moderating comments you should make sure no one feels bad about it.
To be successful you probably need to take the time to evaluate every important aspect of your business. I found that if I don’t use a controversial issue I am not too successful. You should find the point which moves your blog and makes it powerful.

Hello Stefan. You may not be receiving too many comments because your English needs a lot of work.
Your points usually come across clearly; however, people may not be taking you seriously because of major grammatical mistakes. I recommend you pick up a high school English textbook and learn basic sentence structure.
I assume that English is not your native language and I hope you take this as constructive criticism. I just don’t want you to become frustrated with your efforts. I wish you the very best of luck.
I like his articles and I don’t see big grammatical problems..
I don’t think you’re getting comments because the majority of people in your RSS are there just waiting for the big prize money you said to be handing out.
Also, If you want some advice about your blog, you’re not personable enough. Your blog is very cold and even now as I write this I’m thinking I’m talking to no one.
Perfect blogging is about translucency. The connection between me and the people behind the blog. Yaro Starak, John Chow, Darren Rowse, and the other great ones make you feel like you know them. You don’t have this in the least bit.
If it was just information people were after we’d have everything we need about learning how to blog perfectly everywhere else. So you have to understand that it is more then just laying down posts and holding contests.
My recommendation is that you at least create a mascot or something to link the voice who’s trying to lay down “blogging authority.” To become the next Maki(DoshDosh) you’re in this rain or shine, and it starts with laying down well researched resources on the topic. Check out some SmashingMagazine articles while you’re at it. In fact do some StumbleUpon surfing and see what people like “thumbing up.”
I’m telling you right now that perfect blogging starts with more then what you’ve got. Most bloggers have been where you are right now and that’s with a fat nothing. This is where the rubber meets the road.
You can imagine if someone like Darren Rowse starting something called perfect blogging but not some no name without a personality.
A rebuke earns more respect then flattery.
interaction is key to keeping a loyal readership, but you have to be careful in not associating yourself with controversial topics (unless that is your aim)
One of the biggest mistakes I’ve seen, are bloggers that don’t respond to a commenter. if someone thinks they are talking to themselves more then once or twice, they will not return.
I am not sure I ahve readers but not have been able to motivate them to write comments
I think that’s also be my problem for now…:)
Not only are they powerful but they are also fun to read, at least on a newer blog when the amount of comments is few and rare they can be very helpful. Great post.
I find your blog easy to read, don’t listento people who say otherwise!
I read in the annual state of the blogosphere report that comment make up a huge part of blog content.
Also comments show you the quality of your traffic, and the community built around your site.
It would be nice though if there were heading to break up the text.
The typography is quite nice though!
Yes you blog surely has a very good and a bright layout
Yes could agreed this but still with competitions being run by blog owners are the comments really comments o forceful uer activities
This is true. You need to constantly check for spam…by this I mean useless comments just to build.
Indeed.. comments will be helpful, as long as it is informative. By the way you got a nice blog there, I will keep on coming back to read more of your post ^_^
Nice post! I know not many blogger have the same opinion as yours. I always be very careful at the first time I leave comment in a blog. I know that I am not always welcome…But reading your post, somehow I know that I am welcome here…I hope I am right :)…
It’s really kind of random what inspires me to leave a comment on a blog. Sometimes it’s important to just get out there and talk, you know?
Yes I would also say that but I think you are improving and I am Positive as you go ahead this blog will do great.

That’s true. But it’s difficult for bloggers to respond to every comment, so just relying to the first few is probably the best way to go.
Nope. If I see several posts where 10+ people took the time to respond to a post, and the blogger answers maybe 3-4, I will spend my time and money elsewhere from then on.
I’m not saying he/she has to respond to 40 comments individually…many times you see posts with say 30-40 comments and you see the blogger every 5 or so responding as a group…

and so on, but you do not just ignore half.
I think as long as your comment is informative and will give benefits to others there is no problem with it. And not only that
reading blogs and putting comments with it will just tell how you appreciate the author’s ideas.
Absolutely true. I too feel really great when I see some comments posted in my blog and I wish I could bring back the reader more frequently with a good and quality posts in my blog.
Sometimes i catch myself skipping the article and jumping right to the comments. Sometimes they are much more fun to read and have very valuable information.
And when i search something in google i often come to a site because some commentator left the search words. So comments bring traffic.
