How To Publish Your Articles and Get Traffic
When you write an article, you want to make sure that people read it. Figuring out how to publish what you’ve written and drive traffic to that published article
If you have written a really great article, you might consider submitting the article to an article bank like EZine articles, Constant Content or even Associated Content. These sites allow you to build a profile that you can use to promote your website. These sites also do a fair amount of work to promote your articles as well.
Of course, wherever you decide to publish your articles, you want to do everything you can to promote these articles. Consider writing a small blurb about the article and linking to it from your own website. You can also promote the article through writing forums (or forums that are geared toward the general subject of your article). One of the best ways to get traffic for your article through a forum is to mention that you have written an article and then ask for feedback from the forum members. This will send the members of the forum to your article and possible to your other websites as well.
Make sure, though, that your article has not gone over the top with its SEO techniques and that it is not filled with affiliate links. You will be hard pressed to find any place that will publish articles that are obviously trying to manipulate search engines or sell a few ebooks.
Sometimes the best place to publish your article is on your own blog. At the end of the article you can mention that the article is for sale. Then simply promote your blog through forums and traffic building sites. You will have plenty of traffic to your published article and to your website at the same time!

While I’m not sure that I’ve ever gotten more than 1-2 hits from article banks, I’ve had very good luck writing articles for websites related to the industry in question. Guest blogging for more prominent blogs has been extremely effective for me, too. I’ve gotten over 10k unique visits from articles I’ve written for some blogs.
yes.. guest blogging is very good especially when you guest blog for a high traffic blog
I suck at writing articles.. lol.. I usually pay someone to do it for me, when I need some fresh new content.
Good entry. I’ve found writing articles for niche forums that refer back to my own site, http://ww2db.com , a very viable way to increase my traffic.
I am really new to blogging and getting traffic seems to be the hardest thing to do. The writing is easy, but I seem to be more focused on how to get traffic there than writing.
“If you have written a really great article, you might consider submitting the article to an article bank like EZine articles, Constant Content or even Associated Content”
I’m brand new to all of this, and these are 3 places I had not heard of yet-thanks for the info.
when submitting to article banks etc be mindful to read the small print; as they usually ‘buy’ the copyright from you.
I agree with the point though saying on related forums and pages that you have written such an article brings alot of traffic to the said article and a percentage also stick around.
Though RSS conversions etc is not great unless they can see it is a topic you blog/ write about alot
Don’t forget your resource box! I should capitalize, bold and underline that LOL.
Good lord, I can’t tell you how many articles I’ve seen without one…and NOT just from newbies either.
Good points. Just wanted to add that most of the high quality article databases rank quite high in search engines so it can be a good idea to write an article that targets certain keywords.
I can’t tell you how many articles I’ve seen with one that are ugly, untidy, or just blatant, tacky, self promotion.
You should target certain keywords no matter where you’re putting the article. Just make sure they match the article or your site itself.
It depends what keywords you’re targeting. Articles at good directories tend to rank well in search engines and can bring in targeted traffic and links.
Nice article!
