Good and orignal content is I belive will bring people back
I like the titles of articles be eye-catching and creative, as long as there not misleading just to drag people in….this happens more in email then blogging, but it really annoys me either way.
Original content is the best for retaining readers. In my opinion, celebrity gossip sites and gadget sites are the worst at creating original content because they all have the same images and stories.

I think being personal really depends on the angle the blog takes. There are some unbelievably successful blogs that are impersonal and others that are very personal.

This is true. I mean if you have a blog on say, stock trading. you’ll have a high percentage of “corporate clientele”. it will be impersonal but highly informative.
However there are way too many blogs out there just in it for the money and it shows.

A big challenge is converting visitors from search engines into regular readers. Darren Rowse does a good job of this.
In my opinion, the point is not putting many link, but ads link or make un-natural look of link numbers which not necessary.
